To accomplish a 24/7 format, which is at the heart of our mission, the week is broken down into 84 two hour segments or “watches”. During the watch, an intercessor, several singers and a band are present to lead the gathered worshipers in prayer and worship before the Lord. The intercessor brings a portion of scripture and intercedes according to the content of that scripture. The singers choose some aspect of the scripture or prayer that is offered and spontaneously create a song that is sung to the Lord. The band provides supporting melodies – which in themselves are also spontaneously generated
The intercession and song are antiphonal in style: first intercession, then the song and returning again. The pattern repeats itself throughout the watch. When one watch ends, a new band, singers and intercessor seamlessly begin the next watch. One watch follows the next 24/7 (1 Chr 16;25; 27; Ps 27:4; Matt 6:10; Acts 15:16-17)
Sitting in the prayer room is a great time to enjoy the presence of the Lord – whether you choose to use the time for meditation, study, personal prayer, corporate prayer or however the Lord directs.
